Eligibility for Services

Residential Services:

All referrals for Residential services are initiated and processed by the Centre County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention & Drug and Alcohol office.  A detailed referral of service needs and requests is then presented to provider agencies, such as The Arc.  A meeting is held between appropriate team members to share information and determine the feasibility of the referral and service provision. The individual and the family render a final decision based on their choice of qualified providers. “Self-pay” options may be available; please contact The Arc for more information.  Both the county and The Arc monitor the quality and appropriateness of services provided by The Arc on an ongoing basis.
