University Required Full Time Internship (Partially Paid) - 1) Must be 18 years or older 2) Possess a high school diploma. Additional experience or training specific to the field of human services is preferred. 3) Posses a valid driver’s license or be willing to obtain if accepted into the Intern Program. 4) Hours needed to work will be discussed during the interview process, due to meeting the program needs. 5) Abide by all guidelines of The Arc and the sponsor college or university’s internship program. 6) Valid Driver's License, Act 33/34 Clearances, completed Motor Vehicle report, Physical/TB, etc.


Residential Program Worker: Part-Time - Must be 18 years of age, valid drivers license, Act 33/34 Clearances, High school diploma, and Motor Vehicle Record.


Sleep Aide: Part-Time - Must be 18 years old, high school diploma, and act 33/34 clearances.


Nurse Aide Part-Time - Must have Current Nurse Aide Certificate. Must also be at least 18 years of age, have or be willing to obtain - valid drivers license, Act 33/34 Clearances, High school diploma, and Motor Vehicle Record.


License Practical Nurse: Part-Time - Must mainatin a Licensed Practical Nurse, valid drivers license, must be 18 years of age, and Act 33/34 Clearances, and completed Motor Vehicle report.


Home-Based Program Worker-Medical - Must be over 18 years of age, have High School Diploma/GED equivalent, valid Drivers license, complete Act 33/34 clearances and Motor Vehicle Report.

  • The Arc of Centre County, Pa., Inc. is an advocacy and service provider organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons with an intellectual disability.

  • The Arc's mission is to enhance the lives of all persons with intellectual disabilities and their families, and to provide the highest quality of service in the least restrictive environment.

     

The Arc of Centre County was started in 1953 by a group of concerned parents. The chapter has grown to serve persons with an intellectual disability across the lifespan and throughout the county. All of The Arc's efforts are geared towards ensuring the rights of persons with an intellectual disability, supporting their families, and helping each person reach his or her personal best, through an array of community services. Services offered by The Arc include Community Living Arrangements; Supported Living; Family Living and Home-Based Waivers; and Nittany Employment Services.
