Mom Prom FAQ
What is Mom Prom all about?
In 2019 The Arc of Centre County will hold its Fifth Annual Mom Prom. This is a ladies night out; an evening for women to show off their style and enjoy an evening in the company of their lady friends, family and community! Mom Prom has raised over $50,000 to benefit our agency and this year’s event promises to be another spectacular evening. At the heart of all the fun is an amazing opportunity to raise money for programming to support persons with a disability.
Serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 65 years, The Arc of Centre County is dedicated to embodying and protecting the human rights of the individualswe serve. It is The Arc’s mission to provide person-centered planning which enhances the lives of the people we serve while ensuring freedom of choice and maximizing inclusion. To the greatest extent possible, The Arc promotes independence, community integration, and integrated employment as the first option for those we serve. The money raised from the 2019 Mom Prom will be utilized to develop more services to support people in order to further their independence within our community. Using person-centered planning, The Arc has plans to expand services, enabling those we serve to live in the community with a customized balance of independence and supports. Your sponsorship of Mom Prom will be vital in assisting our agency to accomplish our 2019-20 goals!
Why should I go?
The Arc’s Mom Prom is special ladies night which brings together the amazing ladies of Centre County! This is a night to let loose on the dance floor, enjoy some drinks and desserts, and ultimately help raise money for programming to benefit persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities! Attendees must be 21 years or older.
Mom Proms are hosted across the country to benefit various charities but here in Centre County, Mom Prom benefits The Arc of Centre County – a nonprofit organization providing services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1953. Funds raised benefit various programs but all of the funds raised stay right here in Centre County!
