Job Title: Sleep Aide: Part-Time
Wage: $7.25 (plus shift differential)
Requirements: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older. 2. Must possess a High School diploma. 3. Must be able to physically assist individuals to safety in an emergency situation. 4. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, both receptively and expressively, with individuals and co-workers. 5. Obtain a physical examination as required by DPW. 6. Obtain Pennsylvania criminal history check, FBI criminal history check, and Child Abuse clearances in accordance with DPW regulations. 7. Demonstrated ability to adhere to the required schedule for the job. 8. Must be able to provide/attain transportation to and from work as scheduled. 9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete job responsibilities
About This Job: Sleep Aide provides supervision during the night to individuals living in residential programs. Supervision is generally needed in areas such a toileting, behavior management, health care and safety. The overall goal of the Sleep Aide is to ensure that individuals are safe and that needs which arise during the night are met. Provides overnight support in a small, licensed group home setting of 3-4 persons with an intellectual disability. If individuals awaken during the night the Sleep Aide will evaluate the situation and assist them with toileting or behavior management, as needed, in order for them to return to bed. Sleep Aides are responsible to maintain an environment which ensures the health and safety of the individuals and to physically assist individuals to safety in an emergency situation, as needed.
